Talofloc-L
Talofloc-L is a cationic color removal aid in liquid form, developed as a processing aid for use in phosphatation refineries in the sugar industry. It is designed to enhance decolorization without significant capital investment, making it an efficient and cost-effective solution for refineries dealing with fluctuating raw sugar color.
Mechanism Of Action:
Talofloc-L precipitant works by being added directly to the phosphatation feed stream. It operates through the cationic charge of its polyamine composition, which helps in coagulating and precipitating colored impurities from the sugar liquor. This results in reduced color loading on subsequent decolorization stages, such as carbon or ion exchange resin cycles, leading to substantial operating cost savings.
Applications:
- Phosphatation Refineries : To aid in decolorization of raw sugar liquors.
- Refineries with Variable Raw Sugar Quality : Helps in managing color fluctuations and maintaining efficient operations.
Advantages :
- Achieves up to 50% lower color after phosphatation.
- Simple and convenient to use due to its liquid form.
- Low capital outlay with a significant increase in decolorization efficiency.
- No iso-propyl alcohol content, enhancing transport convenience.
- Leaves no detectable residue in the final product.
- Manufactured to high-quality standards and meets FDA requirements.
- Available in semi-bulk and bulk containers for large consumption needs.
- Supported by comprehensive technical back-up service from Kemira.
