Taloflote
Taloflote is an advanced water-soluble polymer specifically developed for aiding the rapid flotation of phosphatation scums during the clarification stage of refinery processing in the sugar industry. It enhances the efficiency of the clarification process by facilitating both primary and secondary flocculation.
Mechanism Of Action:
The clarification process using Taloflote involves two stages of flocculation. Initially, primary flocculation occurs through phosphatation followed by aeration. Taloflote is then used for secondary flocculation, where it gathers primary flocs and air bubbles into secondary flocs. These secondary flocs have an extremely rapid flotation rate, resulting in a brilliantly clarified liquor. When used with Talofloc precipitants or other decolorants, Taloflote ensures rapid floc flotation and stable, free-draining scums.
Applications:
- Sugar Refineries : Taloflote is primarily used in sugar refineries to enhance the flotation of phosphatation scums during the clarification process. This application ensures lower sugar degradation losses and significantly increases plant capacity by reducing the temperature and retention time in clarifiers.
- Scum Desweetening : Taloflote can also be used in scum desweetening to increase the recovery of sugar from phosphatation scums, improving overall sugar yield.
Advantages :
- Increased Plant Capacity : The use of Taloflote reduces retention time and temperature in flotation clarifiers, resulting in lower sugar degradation and increased plant capacity.
- Enhanced Clarification : When used with our range of decolorants , Taloflote provides a brilliant clarified liquor and rapid floc flotation, producing more compact and better-draining scums.
- Consistent Quality : Each batch of Taloflote is rigorously tested to ensure strict
specifications for anionicity, solubility, and viscosity, guaranteeing high product quality. - FDA Compliance : Taloflote flocculants conform to FDA requirements for the clarification of beet and cane sugar juice and liquor, as well as corn starch hydrolyzate.
- Technical Support : Taloflote is supplied with comprehensive technical support.

Storage & Handling :
- Storage Conditions : Store in a dry, clean environment away from direct sunlight, preferably between temperatures of 5°C and 40°C.
- For preparation, the solution should be mixed in clean water at temperatures between 10°C and 55°C, with an air sparge pipe for stirring. The recommended solution strength is 0.1%, with 1 kg of Taloflote per 1000 liters of water. The solution should be allowed to stand for a minimum of 2 hours before use to ensure complete hydration of the polymer. Taloflote is packed in 25 kg net polybags for shipping.
